For the last three years I have been on a journey. I have noticed overtime that families - both foster and adoptive families caring for traumatized, abused and neglected children have been transformed by their journey. Many families do well. Other families struggle. Still others do not make it and dissolve their relationship with their adopted child.


I began asking myself what we can do to prevent such troubling disruptive times for our families. I hope in part, our newest book, Wounded Children, Healing Homes: How Traumatized Children  Impact Adoptive and Foster Families, will be part of the solution.
